RESIDENT EVIL RETURNS TO PLAYSTATION 2 WITH
RESIDENT EVIL: DEAD AIM
E3, LOS ANGELES ( May 14, 2003. -Capcom(r) today confirmed that Resident Evil(: Dead Aim will release across all PAL territories on Sony PlayStation 2 this June. Based on the popular Resident Evil series, which has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide, Resident Evil: Dead Aim combines first person shooter action with third person adventure exploration in a seamless package of fluid survival horror game-play. Resident Evil: Dead Aim is compatible with the G-Con 2 controller.
Resident Evil: Dead Aim sees search and pursuit team agent, Bruce McGivern spear heading a shady anti-Umbrella organization's attempt to infiltrate and investigate a gigantic sea-cruiser as it makes its way across the Atlantic. Bruce McGivern is a brand new character to the Resident Evil series and along with his mysterious female partner Fongling, must battle against the hoards of relentless zombies that confront them for the first time.
In the true spirit of the survival horror genre, players must perform search and stealth manoeuvres as well as attack moves to make it out alive. Bullets are scarce but new weapons become available as players progress though the game including a grenade launcher, shotgun and assault rifle. Resident Evil: Dead Aim maintains the action and puzzle solving elements that the Resident Evil series is best known for and heightens tension by introducing the new first person perspective.
Resident Evil: Dead Aim includes the following features:
- An intense blend of action and puzzle solving
- Two different gameplay perspectives - Shoot in a first person viewpoint and explore in a third person perspective
- A cache of weapons will be available to help destroy the hoard of flesh eating zombies including a handgun, assault rifle, grenade launcher and particle rifle.
- Survey the bowels of a cruise ship from the upper and lower deck to the lower cargo area and underwater test centre
- GunCon'2 light gun controller compatible
